Taejoon Byun

Taejoon Byun is an accomplished computer scientist with extensive experience in research and academia. With a PhD from the University of Minnesota and advanced degrees from Kyungpook National University, Taejoon has held numerous positions, including Research Scientist at Meta, where work focuses on security vulnerability detection through dynamic program analysis. Previous roles include Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota and Kyungpook National University, Teaching Assistant for various computer science courses, and internships at Collins Aerospace, Amazon Web Services, and Rockwell Collins, concentrating on automated testing and machine learning systems. Taejoon also served as a Sergeant in the Republic of Korea Army, where strong organizational skills were developed.
