Talha Faiz

Talha Faiz is a highly skilled software engineer specializing in computer vision, currently contributing to a vision-only pseudo-ground truth pipeline for Travel Mode at Meta since December 2023. Previous experience includes working as a research engineer at Samsung Research America, focusing on real-time image enhancement and gesture recognition, and at the National Robotics Engineering Center, where Talha developed 3D perception pipelines for nighttime autonomy. As an AI/ML Curriculum Manager and Instructor at Inspirit AI, Talha taught machine learning to high school students and supervised various projects. Talha has held multiple teaching assistant positions at Carnegie Mellon University and has been involved in significant research projects at prestigious institutions, including the Indian Institute of Science and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Talha is pursuing a PhD at Carnegie Mellon University, building on a solid foundation in mechanical engineering and interdisciplinary research.
