Tom Knowles

Tom Knowles is an experienced design and digital strategy professional with a diverse background in leadership roles across various well-known companies. After founding Love What You Do, an independent consultancy, from 2010 to 2013, Tom served as Digital Project Director at EF Education First, where responsibilities included overseeing global interactive design projects and setting UX standards. Subsequent roles included Head of UX and Director of Creative Studio at EF, managing creative strategy across multiple countries. Tom's expertise extends to a significant tenure at Google as Visual Design Lead and Head of UX for Calendar & Tasks, focusing on product strategy and team management. Currently, Tom leads design efforts within Reality Labs at Meta, concentrating on MR/VR communication systems for the Metaverse. Tom’s career started with freelance web design and progressed through various roles in web design and production at notable companies like Fantasy Interactive, The Roundhouse Design Consultants, and Johnson & Johnson. Tom holds a BSc from the University of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
