Tom Nguyen

Tom Nguyen is an experienced machine learning engineer currently at Meta since May 2022. Prior to this role, Tom served as a Senior Research Scientist at Amgen, focusing on Computational and Data Science, and held positions as a Research Scientist in machine learning, bioinformatics, and statistical genetics. Additional experience includes a Senior Software Engineer role at Gladstone Institutes and a Postdoctoral Bioinformatics Scientist position at Genentech. Tom has also contributed as a Visiting Research Scholar at Stanford University and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the National University of Ireland. Tom holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, and Bioinformatics from the University of Galway, alongside degrees from Stanford University, Academia Sinica, and Vietnam National University, Hanoi.
