Ty Kieger

Ty Kieger is a mechanical engineer with extensive experience in mechanical design, thermal systems, and opto-mechanical engineering. At Coherent Corp., Ty led the mechanical design for high-precision laser projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and creating detailed engineering documentation. Previous roles include mechanical engineering positions at Electronic Cooling Solutions and Renew Optics, where Ty developed test plans and conducted experiments in thermal management. Ty also has academic experience as a teaching assistant and research assistant at San Jose State University and the University of Iowa, where research focused on fluid dynamics and computational simulations. Ty holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from San Jose State University and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Iowa. Currently, Ty is serving as an opto-mechanical engineer at Meta.
