Vinay Iyer

Vinay Iyer is a Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in various engineering roles, including positions at Google X as a Mechanical Engineering Intern, where Vinay developed a test system for quantifying thermal properties of thermal interface materials. As a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Vinay characterized ionic conductivity of polymer solutions and optimized energy storage for non-aqueous flow batteries. At ASML, Vinay served as a Test Engineer and later as a Mechanical Engineer, focusing on the design and validation of components for next-generation EUV light sources. Current work at Meta involves product design engineering in Reality Labs. Vinay holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Technology (Honors) from IIT Bombay.
