Wang-Chiew Tan

Wang-Chiew Tan is an experienced AI Research Scientist and Manager at Meta since February 2021. Prior to this role, Wang-Chiew held various positions at Megagon Labs from July 2016 to February 2021, including Head of Research, Director of Research, and Research Scientist. Wang-Chiew also served as an Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor at the University of California, Santa Cruz from January 2002 to December 2016, and worked as a Visiting Scientist and Research Staff Member at IBM from April 2010 to July 2012. Wang-Chiew obtained a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania and a First Class BSc in Computer Science from the National University of Singapore.
