Weihua Gao

Weihua Gao is a skilled optical engineering professional with extensive experience in various leadership and technical roles. Currently serving as a Technical Lead Manager at Meta since October 2022, Gao previously held positions including Optical Engineer at Oculus VR from September 2017 to October 2022, and Principal Optical Design Engineer at Zygo Corporation from August 2015 to September 2017. Prior experience includes work as an Optical Engineer at KLA-Tencor from December 2010 to August 2015 and a Lecturer at Hebei University of Science and Technology from September 1999 to September 2001. Weihua Gao earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Vision Science/Physiological Optics from Indiana University Bloomington (2004-2010), a Master's degree in Optical Engineering from Nankai University (2001-2004), and a Bachelor's degree in Applied Optics from Hebei University (1995-1999).
