Yan Zhao

Yan Zhao possesses extensive experience in machine learning and research, having served as a Research Scientist Manager and Research Scientist at Meta from March 2020 to April 2025, focusing on Ads Core ML and GenAI. Prior to this, Yan Zhao worked as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at the University of Michigan from September 2014 to December 2019, and completed an internship as an Algorithm Engineer Intern at DiDi in 2018. Yan Zhao earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan (January 2014 - January 2020) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Tsinghua University (January 2010 - January 2014).
