Yifan Fei

Yifan Fei is an experienced Machine Learning Engineer with a focus on AI ranking systems, having worked at Meta from May 2022 to June 2025, contributing to projects such as Instagram Story Ranking and foundational AI initiatives. Prior to this, Yifan held research and teaching positions at Purdue University, which included designing a web scraper for news articles and implementing machine learning models for classification tasks. Yifan has also served as a Data Scientist at Experian and completed an internship as a Software Engineer at Synopsys Inc. Yifan holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Robotics and NLP, from Purdue University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
