Ying Xu

Ying Xu is an experienced engineering leader with a strong background in data analytics and infrastructure, currently serving as Engineering Lead at Meta, focusing on Monetization AI Infrastructure and Ranking since January 2022. Prior to this role, Ying held the Engineering Lead position at Opendoor and was Engineering Lead and Manager at Lyft, overseeing teams responsible for real-time data ingestion and analytics while also developing a near real-time data analytics platform. Ying's earlier experience includes a Staff Software Engineer role at LinkedIn, contributing to the development of Espresso, and Engineering Lead at IBM, leading the design of ScaleDB, a scalable distributed key-value data store. Ying holds a Ph.D. in Electrical and Systems Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Engineering from Tsinghua University.
