Ying Yang

Ying Yang is a highly accomplished research professional with extensive experience in academia and industry. As a Graduate Student Research Assistant at the University of Michigan from July 2017 to May 2024, Ying Yang contributed to pivotal research in biomedical fields and computer science, resulting in over 20 publications in respected journals and conferences. Additionally, Ying Yang served as a Graduate Student Instructor for three terms, guiding more than 270 students. Recent roles include a Research Scientist position at Meta and internships as a PhD Machine Learning Engineer Intern at Meta and a PhD Software Engineering Intern at Google. Ying Yang holds multiple Master of Science degrees in Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics, and Computer Science and Engineering, both from the University of Michigan, along with a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from Fudan University. Currently, Ying Yang is pursuing a Ph.D. in Scientific Computing and Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology at the University of Michigan, maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA.
