Yiwei Cheng

Yiwei Cheng has substantial experience in software and infrastructure engineering, with internships at notable companies, including LinkedIn, Meta, Shanghai Washu Internet Technology Co., Ltd., and China Ocean Shipping Company (COSCO). During the tenure at COSCO, Yiwei built a comprehensive database utilizing Hadoop and Hive. At Shanghai Washu Internet Technology, Yiwei restructured a recommendation system. At Meta, contributions were made to enhance the Search History feature and develop AI inference tooling, collaborating with machine learning engineers on model accuracy and stability issues. Currently serving as a System Infra Engineer at LinkedIn, Yiwei focuses on improving the Economic Graph and developing infrastructure services. Yiwei Cheng holds a Bachelor of Science in Traffic Engineering from Tongji University and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Northeastern University, along with experience as an exchange student at the University of California, Berkeley.
