Yizhou C. is currently a PhD student at Carnegie Mellon University, focusing on mathematical mind reading of subjects navigating in virtual reality under uncertainty, with Dr. Xaq Pitkow as an advisor. Previously, Yizhou served as a research associate at New York University Shanghai, developing algorithms and data processing pipelines for TB-scale neural electrophysiology data under the guidance of Dr. Jeffrey Erlich. Additionally, Yizhou was a PhD candidate at Baylor College of Medicine where research was also conducted under Dr. Xaq Pitkow, and is presently interning at Meta Reality Lab. Yizhou holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Theoretical/Computational Neuroscience from Baylor College of Medicine and has a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from UC Irvine.
