Youngsun Wi

Youngsun Wi has extensive experience in robotics and mechanical engineering, with a focus on precision control systems and dexterous manipulation. Notably, Youngsun worked as a Global Technology Center Intern at Samsung Electro-Mechanics, developing control algorithms for MLCC press machines. Youngsun's current role as a Research Scientist at Meta within the Embodied AI team follows a research internship at NVIDIA and graduate student research at the University of Michigan's MMINT lab, contributing significantly to topics such as neural representations of deformable objects. Earlier experiences include research internships at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Amazon Robotics AI, and Hyundai Motor Company, where innovative solutions for autonomous vehicle control were designed. Youngsun holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan and is currently pursuing a PhD in Robotics.
