Yuandong Tian

Yuandong Tian is an experienced research director and scientist with a strong background in artificial intelligence and robotics. Currently serving as a Research Director at Meta since November 2017, Yuandong Tian has previously held roles as a Research Scientist and Senior Manager within the Facebook Artificial Intelligence Research (FAIR) team since January 2015. Prior to Meta, Yuandong worked as a Software Engineer at Google X focusing on self-driving car technology from September 2013 to December 2014, and completed a Ph.D. in Robotics at Carnegie Mellon University from 2008 to 2013. Educational qualifications also include a Master's degree in Computer Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from the same institution.
