Yuru Song

Yuru Song is a PhD candidate in Neural Computation at the University of California, San Diego, expected to graduate in 2025. With experience as a Software Engineer Intern at Meta from June 2024 to September 2024, Yuru contributed to multi-task learning for Marketplace Feed Relevance. Prior roles at Meta included Research Scientist, focusing on Monetization Infrastructure and Ranking, and Research Scientist Intern, where responsibilities included improving responsiveness on wake gestures for the Meta Neural Band. Additionally, an internship at SenseTime involved designing a novel multi-task learning algorithm with user-defined task prioritization, which was published at ICCV 2021. Yuru holds a Bachelor's degree in Space Physics from the University of Science and Technology of China, completed in 2019.
