Zilong He

Zilong Zilong is a Research Scientist at Meta, specializing in machine learning for gaming recommendations since August 2025. Prior experience includes a Research Assistant role at the University of Minnesota from September 2019 to May 2025, where Zilong designed holographic systems and developed deep learning models for particle tracking. Zilong also interned as a Software Engineer at Meta in 2024, focusing on Facebook Marketplace search, and as a Machine Learning Engineer Intern at Seagate Technology, where Zilong improved image segmentation models for SEM images. Additional internships include work at Astrin Biosciences, developing cancer diagnostics technology, and Yale University, conducting experiments on electrospray and imaging Janus particles. Zilong holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota and a Bachelor's degree in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics from the Southern University of Science and Technology.
