Zishan Ali

Zishan Ali, Ph.D., possesses extensive experience in microelectronics and hardware engineering. Zishan's career includes roles as Scientist II at the Institute of Microelectronics, where focus was on process and device simulation of SiC transistors, and substrate performance evaluation. As a Research and Development Hardware Engineer at Meta, Zishan is involved in uLED technology development for AR/VR displays, emphasizing process integration and device analysis. Zishan also served as Senior Engineer in Process Integration and Device Design at GLOBALFOUNDRIES, contributing to the integration of magnetic thin-film inductors in power conversions. Previous roles include a research project officer at Nanyang Technological University, a visiting researcher at Tyndall National Institute, and chairperson and curator for TEDxNTU. Zishan's early research experience as a Junior Research Fellow at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, involved the design and fabrication of MEMS-based capacitive accelerometers.
