Perrine Laroche

Nature Consultant at Metabolic

Perrine Laroche is a Sustainability Consultant at Metabolic since June 2023, with a robust academic and professional background in sustainability research. Between April 2018 and March 2023, Perrine served as a PhD Researcher at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, focusing on the environmental impacts of Western lifestyles in dietary habits, tourism, and mobility. Previous experience includes a Research Trainee position at the Joint Research Center of the European Commission, contributing to marine litter monitoring, and another Research Trainee role at Université de Bretagne Occidentale focused on ecosystem services. A project assistant at Région Rhône-Alpes, Perrine supported the planning of the region's participation in EXPO Milano 2015. Educational achievements include a PhD in Operationalising Telecouplings for Solving Sustainability Challenges for Land Use from the ITN COUPLED Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action, an MSc in Applied Economics from L'Institut Agro Rennes-Angers, and a BSc in Geography and Spatial Planning from Université Jean Moulin (Lyon III).
