Simone Hesseling is a sustainability consultant and project manager at Metabolic's Industries division since July 2022, leveraging science-based insights and systems thinking to guide organizations towards sustainable practices. Previously, as a sustainability consultant at Blonk Consultants from January 2021 to July 2022, Simone specialized in assessing the environmental impacts of agri-food products through life cycle modeling. Simone has also held a PhD candidate position at the University of Twente, focusing on societal challenges aligned with the National Science Agenda and the United Nations sustainable development goals. In addition, Simone has contributed as a board member of the Stichting Nederlands Strijkersgilde and performed as a violinist with various orchestras. Educational achievements include a Master of Science in Industrial Design Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Design from the University of Twente.
