Matthew van Niekerk is an experienced Embedded Software Engineer currently working at Metacom since June 2022. Previously, Matthew served as a Quantitative Software Developer at Invictus Capital from March 2021 to September 2021, where responsibilities included developing a Streamlit dashboard to monitor trading bot performance and creating algorithms for arbitrage strategies. Earlier experience includes a role as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon Web Services in mid-2019, focusing on enhancing an internal log aggregation service and implementing agile development practices. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and has completed coursework in Computer Science and Physics at the University of Cape Town.
