Kirby Winters has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. In 1993, they worked at GTE Wireless (now Verizon) in various positions such as Business Development, Marketing Coordinator, National Sales Coordinator, Legal Administrator, and Financial Analyst until 1998. From 1998 to 1999, they were a Project Manager at Premiere Global Services. In 1999, Winters joined The Bankers Bank as an IT Infrastructure Manager, responsible for managing banking systems infrastructure and making purchasing decisions.

From 1999 to 2011, they co-founded and served as the COO and Chairman of Solar Velocity, overseeing daily operations and the growth of the business. In 2011, Winters founded Winter Media, a technology communications advisory firm where they served as President and Senior Advisor, offering strategic direction and systems management services.

In 2012, Winters joined Petracore Design as the COO and VP of Sales, specializing in secure .NET-based custom software development solutions. In 2015, they began providing fractional C-level services as a Partner in Product & Technology and Information Security at TechCXO, delivering strategy, planning, and execution business consulting services for technology and technology-enabled service companies.

In 2016, Winters became the Vice President of Software Solutions at Omnience, where they provided technology leadership and oversight for event optimization software solutions. In 2022, they joined Metadata Engineering as the Practice Lead for CIO/CISO Services.

Winters' expertise lies in areas such as technology leadership, team development, information security, software solutions, and custom software development.

Kirby Winters attended Emory University - Goizueta Business School from 1989 to 1993. During this time, Winters pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration (BBA) with a focus on Marketing and Philosophy.
