Pamela Wapnick

Pamela Wapnick has extensive experience as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in various companies. Pamela is currently serving as the CFO at Metagenomi since September 2023. Prior to this, they held the position of CFO at Diality from June 2022 to November 2023. Pamela also worked as the CFO at Capsida Biotherapeutics from November 2019 to June 2022.

Before their roles as CFO, Wapnick worked as the CFO at Graybug Vision, Inc. from December 2017 to October 2019. There, they oversaw all aspects of finance, human resources, IT, and facilities. Pamela revamped the financial approach, achieved compliance with GAAP, and focused on funding initiatives.

Pamela also served as the CFO at True North Therapeutics from July 2016 to September 2017, where they executed a $45 million Series D financing, completed preparations for an IPO, and successfully sold the company.

Wapnick's earlier experience includes various roles at Amgen Corporation, starting as the VP and Treasurer from December 2007 to July 2011. Pamela overhauled the treasury approach, raising over $6 billion in financing and achieving high investment returns. Pamela also served as the VP Finance from March 2016 to June 2016 and as the Vice President Finance for Research and Development from July 2011 to March 2016. In these roles, they led financial planning, reporting, and achieved significant overall R&D expense reduction.

Before their tenure at Amgen, Wapnick worked as a Finance Director at Federal-Mogul Holdings Corporation from January 2007 to November 2007. Pamela led the finance team for a global business unit, managing all financial aspects and SEC reporting. Pamela also served as a Finance Director for a different business unit from July 2005 to December 2006, achieving substantial improvement in divisional operating profit and leading the global product quoting process.

Wapnick also has experience at Delphi Automotive Systems Corporation, where they served as the Treasurer from 2004 to 2005 and as an Assistant Treasurer from 2001 to 2003. Prior to that, they worked as an Assistant Controller at Delphi Automotive Systems Corporation from 2000 to 2001, leading the accounting team and overseeing the implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley planning.

Pamela Wapnick completed their Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Wellesley College from 1983-1987. Pamela then pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Finance, General, at Columbia Business School from 1990-1992.
