CCO at Metail

Sarah Walter has a long and varied work experience in the fashion industry. Sarah began their career in 1985 at Vogue as an Accessories Editor, where they were responsible for up to 10 pages of editorial a month. In 1994, they moved to Marie Claire as the Fashion Director, directing a department of 14 FT members to deliver and budget up to 130 pages of fashion within the title on a monthly basis. In 2001, Sarah moved to New Look as the Head of Fashion Communications, working across both the Marketing and Publicity teams to deliver brand initiatives. In 2007, they became the Director of Fashion Communications at River Island, directing a team of 12 staff and a multi million pound budget to drive the marketing and publicity of the high street leader. In 2010, Sarah founded style-passport, the online holiday fashion and beauty destination. Finally, in 2013, Sarah became the CCO at Metail, a company that solves a fundamental customer need - not being able to confidently try-on clothes online.

Sarah Walter attended the School of St Helen & St Katharine from 1977 to 1983, where they achieved 10 'O' and 4 'A' Levels. From 1984 to 1987, they attended St Martin's School of Art in London, where they were pursuing a BA Hons Fashion Communication and Promotion, which they did not complete.
