Eric Sammut has a diverse work experience. In 2018, they founded and became the CEO of MetalMaker 3D, a company developing a foundry system for making cast metal parts. From 2014-2016, they were the Founder and CEO of DisTech Automation, a company offering customizable all-metal hot ends for 3D printers. In 2016, they were a client company of Launch Lab, where they won a top prize of $5000 funding in a competitive pitch competition. In 2015, they were a student entrepreneur at QyourVenture, where they received $5000 funding for innovative product development and was also a Workshops Coordinator for the 2015-2016 academic year. In 2016, they were an entrepreneur with Summer Company. From 2012-2014, they worked at Unit 11 Custom Ltd., where they worked on carpentry, painting, metalworking, and MIG welding for sets and stages, designed and developed a company website, and used AutoCAD and AutoDesk Inventor CAD software to convert client ideas into CAD models.
Eric Sammut completed a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Materials Option) from Queen's University between 2014 and 2018.
