Ms. Cindy Roberts is a results-orientated corporate affairs professional bringing more than 25 years of experience in marketing, communications, and public affairs in both the private and public sectors. She began her career as a partner in a boutique marketing and communications agency which was eventually sold to a national agency. She rejoined META from Sustainable Marine, where she served as Vice President Communications. Previously, she was Vice President of Marketing and Communications at META from 2015-2020.
Ms. Roberts spent many years doing crisis communications and was a member of Hill and Knowlton’s national team where she worked with Swissair’s global communications team, managing their media and government relations in Canada following the Swissair Flight 111 tragedy. She was a Senior Public Affairs Advisor at Nova Scotia Business Inc. Ms. Roberts worked for Microsoft Canada supporting their national product launches and communications activities in Atlantic Canada and then for Bay of Fundy Tourism in the New7Wonders of Nature Campaign, which landed a spot as a global finalist.
Always active in the community, she has held several volunteer positions including VIP Coordinator for the 2003 IIHF Junior Hockey Championships, Communications Chair for the 100th Anniversary Marblehead to Halifax Ocean Race, and currently serves as an executive board member at Sail Nova Scotia.
