Malbert Smith is an accomplished academic and entrepreneur with extensive experience in educational technology and research. Serving as a Research Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since January 2009, Malbert also co-founded MetaMetrics in March 1984, where Malbert currently holds the titles of CEO, President, and Co-founder, collaborating with Jack Stenner to develop innovative assessment tools through multiple NIH grants. Previously, Malbert co-founded National Technology Group in January 1982, which grew to a significant IT services company with over 900 employees and annual revenues exceeding $100 million. Malbert's career began as a Senior Researcher at NTS Research Corporation, where research projects focused on education received funding from various governmental bodies. Malbert holds a PhD and a Master's degree in Educational Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Duke University.
