Shay Shao

Shay Shao is currently a Co-Founder at MetaMirror, a role they have held since September 2021. Prior to this, Shay worked as a Research Group Lead at the University of California, Berkeley from October 2020 to May 2021, leading Professor Brian Barsky's Vision Correcting Display Research Group in the EECS Department as part of their master's degree capstone project. Before that, Shay worked as a Research Engineer at the University of California, Berkeley from February 2019 to December 2019. They also served as a Member Of Technical Staff at Oasis Labs from June 2018 to February 2019, where they contributed to building a privacy-first cloud computing platform.

Shay Shao completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pure Mathematics from the University of California, Santa Cruz from 2015 to 2018. Afterward, Shay pursued further education at the University of California, Berkeley, where they obtained a Master of Engineering degree in EECS from 2020 to 2021. In addition to their formal education, Shay obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera in September 2019.
