Michael Clancy

Michael Clancy has a diverse work experience in the field of internal audit and risk management. Michael is currently serving as the Head of Internal Audit at Metcash. Prior to this, they worked at Lion as the Group Internal Audit and Assurance Leader from November 2020 to May 2023. Before joining Lion, Michael held several managerial positions at PwC, where they specialized in risk management and internal audit. Michael has also worked as an Associate at Ramsay Health Care in the past.

Michael Clancy received a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Accounting from the University of Technology Sydney in 2009. In 2012, they completed a Graduate Diploma of Chartered Accounting (CA) from the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia. Michael obtained a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification from the Institute of Internal Auditors in 2015. Prior to their higher education, they attended Greystanes High School from 2001 to 2006. Additionally, they have affiliations with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, as well as the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia.
