Ana Florea

Ana Florea currently serves as Energy Originator Principal at Metlen Energy & Metals, a position held since July 2023. Prior to this role, Ana was Head of Energy Markets at nextE from January 2022 to June 2023, where responsibilities included developing commercial strategies for renewable energy trading, optimizing balancing costs, and managing risks related to energy trading. Experience as a Power Trader at Next Energy Partners from September 2015 to January 2022 involved forward and short-term energy trading, data analysis, and risk assessment. An internship at Transelectrica in 2014 provided exposure to the National Operational Dispatch Unit. Ana holds a Master of Science in Applied Informatics in Energetics and a Bachelor of Science in Power System Engineering, both from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest.
