Luis Laguna

Luis Laguna serves as the Regional Managing Director for North America at Metlen Energy & Metals since February 2018, overseeing project investment and execution in utility-scale solar PV, energy storage, wind, and green hydrogen/ammonia across Canada, the US, Mexico, and Central America. Previously, Luis managed project development activities in the LATAM/Americas region, focusing on Chile and Mexico, and has a strong background in energy consultancy and finance, with prior roles at Enerlux Power, Sonnedix Solar Holdings L.P., AES Solar Energy, and The AES Corporation. Luis is also a Board Member and Co-Owner of Grupo Omega, which provides logistics and chemical distribution services across various sectors. Academic credentials include an MBA from MIT Sloan School of Management and a BA in Accounting and Finance from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
