Scott Bessey

Scott Bessey, CFA, serves as the Head of Development for Canada at MYTILINEOS S.A. since May 2024. Prior to this role, Scott held various positions at Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp., where responsibilities included co-leading the Acquisition and Support team within business planning, focusing on major project development and acquisitions. Notable achievements include managing the utility M&A processes and leading a successful $2.846 billion acquisition of Kentucky Power Co. and Kentucky TransCo. Scott's career also includes analytical roles at BMO Capital Markets and investment analysis experience with the Pennington Family Trust. Scott holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Wilfrid Laurier University and completed the Morgan Stanley IBD Client Training Program.
