Özlem Erken

Özlem Erken is the Head of Risk Management and Internal Control at MetLife, a position held since April 2010, where responsibilities include promoting proactive risk management, leading loss event reporting, overseeing the Risk Committee, and enhancing risk culture through training. Özlem also served as the Interim Head of Internal Audit at Deniz Emeklilik, conducting internal audits and identifying key risks. Prior experience includes roles in Internal Control and Compliance at Garanti BBVA, focusing on compliance with legislation, risk analysis, and operational transaction controls. Özlem holds a degree in International Relations from Istanbul University, earned between 1995 and 1999.
