Michael Ashton

Michael Ashton, CFA has extensive work experience in the finance industry. Michael served as the Head of Development Finance at Metlifecare starting from March 2023. Prior to that, they worked as an Investment Manager at Stride Property Limited from May 2020 to January 2023. From April 2018 to March 2020, they held the position of Portfolio Investment Manager at Hammerson, and from October 2014 to April 2018, they worked as an Investment Analyst at the same company. Before that, they worked as an Independent Financial Consultant at Spyglass Consulting Ltd from April 2012 to July 2014. Michael's early career includes working as a Senior Property Analyst at AMP Capital from January 2008 to March 2012, where they were responsible for business planning and financial forecasting for various property trusts.

Michael Ashton, CFA holds a CFA Charter Holder from the CFA Institute. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate education at The University of Auckland, where they earned a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) degree as well as a Bachelor of Property (P.Prop.) degree with a focus on Economics.
