Thomas Broadley

Thomas Broadley is a seasoned software developer with extensive experience across multiple companies. Currently serving as a Member of Technical Staff at METR since November 2023, Thomas focuses on developing systems to assess the potential catastrophic risks posed by advanced AI models. Previously, at Faire from February 2019 to August 2023, Thomas advanced through roles from Software Developer to Senior Software Developer, contributing to growth-related features and guiding a significant project for multi-currency support. Earlier experiences include software development roles at Datadog, Zeitspace Inc., Shopify Plus, and Boltmade, where Thomas applied Agile methodologies and worked on various applications, including the SHORE Centre Choice Connect and Shopify's Launchpad. Thomas holds a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo, completed in 2018.
