Haoyu Wang

Haoyu Wang is an experienced engineer currently working at OpenAI since January 2024, focusing on safe AGI. Prior to this role, Haoyu worked as a Software Engineer at Facebook from 2020 to 2024, concentrating on Integrity & Safety. Haoyu's experience also includes a position at LinkedIn from 2016 to 2020, where contributions were made to the Growth team by building machine learning applications that enhanced communication quality and quantity. Earlier, Haoyu served as a Software Engineer at Qualcomm from 2013 to 2016, managing the end-to-end commercialization of key features for the company's core products through system and software development, protocol validations, and performance testing. Haoyu's engineering journey began with an internship at Western Digital in 2012, focusing on new product software development. Haoyu holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications and a Master’s Degree in the same field from UC Irvine.
