Ben Mellors

Ben Mellors is an experienced physicist currently serving as the Instrumentation Physics Team Lead at Metrasens since May 2021, where responsibilities include leading the development of magnetic sensing systems for various commercial applications. Prior to this role, Ben was a postgraduate researcher at the University of Birmingham from September 2016 to November 2022, completing a PhD within the Physical-Sciences for Health EPSRC doctoral training centre. Ben's earlier experience includes a research assistantship at the University of Exeter, focusing on mechanical characterization of tear film lipids, as well as serving as a lead soccer coach at Kings Camps. Ben holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Physical Sciences from the University of Birmingham and a Master of Physics from the University of Exeter.
