Johan Hedman has extensive work experience in various roles within the banking and finance industry. Johan started their career at Handelsbanken in 1986, where they worked as a Banktjänsteman, specializing in corporate affairs. Johan then moved up to become a Kundhandlare, where they focused on currency and money market trading. Johan transitioned to a role as a Företagsrådgivare, managing around 60 corporate clients. Johan then became a Deputy Branch Manager, responsible for the corporate market segment. Johan was also part of the Marketing leadership team. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as Chef Försäljning och Kundansvar Bank, still at Bankgirocentralen BGC AB. Johan then moved to Tieto Sweden AB in 2014, where they served as a Sales Manager Payments Nordics. In 2015, they joined Bisnode as a Key Account Manager, until they started working at Metria AB in 2018 as a Key Account Manager.

Johan attended Företagsekonomiska Institutet from 1991 to 1992, where they completed their degree in Företagsekonom. During this time, their field of study focused on Redovisning, KI analys, and handelsrätt.

In 1989, Johan took a course in Företagsekonomi at Stockholm University, but it is unclear if they obtained a degree in this field.

In addition to their formal education, Johan also obtained several certifications. In October 2022, they received a certification in Hållbarhet i Finansbranschen from Finanskompetens. Earlier, in July 2020, they obtained a certification in Key Account Management from LinkedIn.
