Andrew James

Senior Scientist at Metrion Biosciences

Andrew James has been working in the scientific field since 2007. Andrew began their career with an Industrial Placement Student role at AstraZeneca, followed by a Laboratory Assistant role at Cyprotex Discovery in 2010. From 2011 to 2018, they held various roles at The University of Manchester, including Postdoctoral Research Associate, PhD Graduate Student in Pharmacology, Experimental Officer, and Graduate Teaching Assistant. In 2017, they became an Associate Medical Writer at Helios Medical Communications. Since 2018, they have been working at the University of York as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Undergraduate Tutor. In 2022, they will join Metrion Biosciences as a Senior Scientist and Scientist.

Andrew James obtained a BSc in Pharmacology with Industrial Experience from The University of Manchester between 2005 and 2009. Andrew then obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmacology from The University of Manchester in 2015. In March of 2015, they also obtained a Home Office Licence PIL ABC from The University of Manchester.
