Nicolás Arata Martinez

Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical engineer with a strong background in collaborative solutions development, primarily at SMART Technologies since July 2010. Currently focusing on hardware development for DViT interactive whiteboards and educational devices, Chris has also been involved in firmware engineering for the same products. Prior experience includes electronics contracting for Science Alberta Foundation, where design and repair of educational devices were key responsibilities, and serving as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary, assisting in electronic circuits courses. Earlier career work as an electronics engineer at Grindcom centered on control systems for forestry harvesters. Chris holds an M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a B.Tech. in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
