Becky Shoemaker has extensive experience in records management and archiving, currently serving as Records Officer and Archivist at Metro Regional Government since July 1997. Prior roles include Executive Assistant and Staff Historian at YWCA of Greater Portland from 1994 to 1997, and Office Manager and Archivist at the National Council of Jewish Women from 1992 to 1994. Educational achievements include a Certificate of Completion in Digital Preservation Training from the Digital Preservation Coalition in 2022, a Certificate of Completion from the Leadership Academy at Portland State University in 2018, a Bachelor of Arts in U.S. History, and a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Portland State University.
