Kristin Dennis is an experienced professional with a diverse background in government and law. Currently serving as the Chief of Staff to the Metro Council since February 2021, Kristin previously held the position of Chief of Staff for the City of Portland, as well as Deputy Chief of Staff in the Office of Mayor Ted Wheeler. Earlier roles include Chief of Staff, Policy Director, and Senior Policy Advisor at the Oregon State Treasury, and an attorney at Zupancic Rathbone Law Group, P.C. Kristin's legal experience is complemented by positions as a Legislative Assistant in the Oregon Legislature and a Law Clerk at Fagen Friedman & Fulfrost LLP. Additionally, Kristin served as a City Councilor and Council President in Lake Oswego, along with a role as a Special Projects Manager at Denton Plastics, Inc. Kristin holds a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of San Diego School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Oregon.
