Nancy Strening is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in capital project management and retail development. Currently serving as the Senior Capital Projects Manager at Metro since January 2016, Nancy oversees the management of capital project portfolios for visitor venues, ensuring the responsible stewardship of public assets. As the Principal at Strening Solutions, LLC, established in July 2011, Nancy provides development expertise to a range of clients, including retailers and individuals. Prior to these roles, Nancy held various leadership positions at Nike between 1995 and 2009, including Director of Space Development and Merchandise Presentation, where retail solutions were created to align with brand marketing strategies. Nancy began a career in store development as a Project Manager at Montgomery Ward & Company, managing extensive department store projects. Nancy holds a Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Illinois Chicago and a BA in History and Art History from the University of Virginia.
