Maryse Bertrand

Ms. Bertrand is a governance and risk management advisor and corporate director. She is a member of the board of directors of the National Bank of Canada, PSP Investments and Gildan Sport Clothing Inc. for which she also acts as chair or member of various committees of the boards of directors. She also chairs the Board of Directors of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) ( Quebec Chapter ) and is Vice-Chair of the Board of Governors of McGill University . From 2016 to 2017, she was Strategic Advisor and Legal Counsel at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP and, prior to that, she was Vice President, real estate, legal and legal services at Radio-Canada / CBC where she chaired the national crisis management committee and the board of directors of ARTV, a specialty channel. Prior to 2009, she was a partner at Davies Ward Philips & Vineberg LLP where she specialized in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance and was part of the national management committee. In 2007, Ms. Bertrand received the Avocatus Emeritus (Ad.E.) distinction from the Barreau du Québec in recognition of her exceptional contribution to the legal profession. Ms. Bertrand holds a Bachelor of Laws (BCL) from McGill University and a Masters in risk management from New York University (Stern School of Business).
