Ramesh Nathan, MD, FIDSA has a diverse work experience in the field of Infectious Diseases. Ramesh currently serves as the Medical Director for Metro Infectious Disease Consultants in California. In this role, they oversee the infectious diseases rotation for the GME program and leads the Antimicrobial Stewardship and Infection Prevention teams at two hospitals.

Previously, Dr. Nathan held various positions at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center, including Chairman of Quality Forum and Sepsis Operations Committees, Director of Infectious Diseases for the Internal Medicine GME program, Department of Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases, Vice Chief of Staff, and Chief of Staff.

Ramesh also worked as the Medical Director for Infection Prevention and Hospital Epidemiology at Adventist Health, where they successfully implemented Antimicrobial Stewardship programs and achieved a significant reduction in Antimicrobial use.

Additionally, Dr. Nathan provided telemedicine services for infectious diseases consultations, antimicrobial stewardship, and infection prevention at Adventist Health Clearlake and Mendocino Coast through TeleMed2U.

Ramesh'searlier experience includes working as an Infectious Diseases Physician at Mark H Mazur MD & Barry Statner MD A Professional Corporation. Ramesh completed their Fellowship in Infectious Diseases at UCLA Health and their Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at Cedars-Sinai. Overall, Dr. Nathan has a strong background in infectious diseases management, teaching, and leadership roles.

Ramesh Nathan, MD, FIDSA, obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, where they attended from 1996 to 2000. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from The George Washington University, as part of their Seven Year BA/MD Program, from 1993 to 1996. Ramesh also holds a High School Diploma from Viewpoint School, which they completed from 1989 to 1993.

In addition to their educational background, Ramesh Nathan has obtained multiple certifications. Ramesh is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, having achieved this certification in June 2013. Ramesh has also obtained a Subspecialty Certification in Infectious Disease from the American Board of Internal Medicine in December 2015.
