Berthena Nabaa-McKinney

Berthena Nabaa-McKinney, Ed.D., currently serves as a School Board Member for District 4 with Metro Nashville Public Schools, a position held since August 2022. Berthena is also the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Nabaa Consulting, LLC, an education and management consulting firm established in June 2016 that focuses on school improvement and turnaround initiatives. Past roles include Interim School Board Member for District 4, Academic Director at UAF, and School Principal at Nashville International Academy. Berthena's experience in education extends to various positions within Metro Nashville Public Schools, including ACT Coordinator and Chemistry Teacher. Early career positions include Center Director roles at Kiddie City Early Learning Center and Children's World Learning Center, both of which received recognition for high-quality standards. Berthena holds a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership and Professional Practice from Trevecca Nazarene University, alongside a Master of Education and a Bachelor of Science from Tennessee State University, and an Associate of Science from Nashville State Community College.
