Dr. Tonya Dennis

Dr. Tonya Dennis currently serves as the Executive Principal at Metro Nashville Public Schools, a position held since July 2023, while also owning and operating Dr. Tonya Dennis Consulting since June 2015, where expertise includes training and advocacy for educators. Previously, Dr. Dennis has held multiple roles within Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools, including Assistant Principal, Gifted and Talented Teacher, and Principal, demonstrating a strong commitment to improving student achievement and instructional leadership across diverse student populations. Additionally, experience includes serving as a Peer Reviewer for the U.S. Department of Education and an Adjunct Instructor at Tennessee State University and The University of Akron. Dr. Dennis holds a Doctor of Education in Education Administration and a Master of Public Administration, alongside a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature.
