Shannon Armstrong has a diverse range of work experience in the field of occupational therapy. They began their career in 2019 and have since worked in various settings and populations. Shannon has experience in school-based pediatrics, working with students aged 3-21 with Autism spectrum disorder, attention disorders, and sensory processing disorder. They have also provided teletherapy and in-person interventions during the COVID-19 pandemic. From 2013 to 2016, they attended Suffolk County Community College and obtained an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities.

Next, from 2014 to 2017, they attended Stony Brook University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Health Science with a concentration in Disability Studies. The specific field of study for this degree is not provided.

Lastly, from 2018 to 2021, they enrolled in the Stony Brook School of Health Professions and completed a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy/Therapist.

In addition to their formal education, Shannon Armstrong also obtained several certifications. In August 2019, they earned a Standard – First-Aid certification from the American CPR Care Association. In August 2020, they obtained HIPPA and Compliance Training from Stony Brook University. Shannon also completed COVID-19 Training in September 2020, offered by the World Health Organization. Most recently, in October 2021, they obtained a Standard CPR/AED certification from the National Health and Safety Association.
