Matteo Caramaschi

Matteo Caramaschi is an experienced professional in sustainable heating technologies, currently serving as Team Leader for R&D Projects at METRO THERM A/S since September 2015. In this role, Matteo leads a team focused on developing innovative heat pumps that utilize natural refrigerants. Additionally, as an Industrial PhD candidate, Matteo collaborates with organizations including DTU and KTH on a research project aimed at alternative refrigerants for heat pumps, which involves creating numerical models to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Prior roles include R&D Engineer at METRO THERM A/S, where Matteo developed residential heat pumps, and Teacher Assistant at DTU, supporting student teams in innovation and product development. Matteo’s educational background includes a Master’s in Sustainable Energy Engineering from DTU and dual Bachelor's degrees in Energy Engineering from Università degli Studi di Padova and Guangzhou University.
